Master of Science in Strategic Human Resources Management (MScSHRM)


The Master of Science in Strategic Human Resources Management (MScSHRM) programme is designed to empower aspired HR professionals to become Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP). Through engaging in action learning, practising evidence-based HR, and cultivating agility and global vision, HR professionals will gain advanced management knowledge and practical HR skills, develop a strategic mindset, and sharpen their business acumen and people management competencies. The range of topics spans from understanding workplace behaviour, mastering HR strategic processes for talent management, developing governance capabilities and ethical cultures within organisations, to conducting HR inquiries using analytics and consultancy skills. Graduates will be able to perform the HRBP roles and leverage human capital to enhance an organisation’s competitive advantage. Classes of this two-year programme are arranged at weekends, allowing students to better integrate work with study.

MScSHRM is mapped to the CIPD Level 7 Diploma in Human Resources Management. As the CIPD Approved Centre, MScSHRM students need to join as a Student member throughout the duration of their studies in order to obtain CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma in HRM. Graduates will gain Associate professional membership and will be eligible to upgrade to either Chartered Member or Chartered Fellow providing they are able to demonstrate the relevant skills and behaviours in accordance with the membership criteria for these levels.

*New accredited programmes aligned to the new Profession Map are being introduced in 2021. We are planning to offer these from December 2021 (pending CIPD approval). At this stage we are taking expressions of interest. More information will be available once approval is confirmed.

Master of Human Resources Management (MHRM)


The Master of Human Resources Management (MHRM) programme is designed for individuals who intend to pursue a professional career in human resources management. The programme will also benefit practicing human resoures professionals who have little or no formal human resources management training or education, as well as line managers who seek an advanced education in the principles and practice of people management

The programme is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), Europe's largest professional institute for HRM and HR development. MHRM students who register as CIPD student members will have their degree recognised as CIPD Advanced Level 7 Certificate in Human Resources qualification and automatically leads to the CIPD Associate membership after graduation.

Master of Philosophy (MPhil) & Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)


These are rigorous, research-based postgraduate programmes leading to the MPhil and PhD degrees. These programmes emphasize research and knowledge creation. They deepen students' understanding of the fields of study and the research methods, and prepare students to conduct independent investigations or start a career in the academic field. The School’s areas of particular expertise and research emphasis include Accountancy and Law, Economics, Finance and Decision Sciences, Management, and Marketing.
